Background
The orphanage is called Casa Hogar-La Nueva Esperanze, which means "the place, home, dwelling of new hope".  The orphanage is managed by Isai Rodriguez and his wife Maria.  Isai is the pastor of a local church.  Isai and Maria work to bring God's hope and direction to the lives of the children living at the orphanage.  A trip to to the House of New Hope Orphanage will help to encourage Isai and Maria in their ministry.
There is usually between 25-35 kids at the orphanage.  Their ages range from 6-18 years old and over half of them are teenagers. The Mexican orphange is not the same as the American orphanage.  One difference is that these kids cannot be adopted.  The government will not allow them to be adopted.  Also, not all of these orphans are parentless.

Ministries at the orphanage
There are different types of ministries a group can be involved in at the orphanage.  Some of those ministries include building concrete block walls, constructing new buildings, preparing foundations for future buildings, helping prepare meals, directing VBS classes, performing music drama in city parks, and spending valuable time getting to know the children at the orphanage, as well as being able to encourage and support Isai and Maria.
